Coach Perez is the architect and head coach at TAC. A North Carolina native and the son of Cuban immigrants, he’s always had a passion for teaching, especially when it comes to K-12 education. He received a BA in Spanish Literature and Political Science from UNC-Chapel Hill before relocating to Washington, DC to pursue a legal career. After receiving his JD with honors from George Washington University Law School, he spent the next six years as an associate at the law firm Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP specializing in white collar criminal defense and immigration. Eventually, he left behind his successes in the courtroom to pursue teaching on a more permanent basis and moved back to the Triangle area, where he taught in the public school system and began coaching students preparing for various pre-college and post-college standardized tests, including the ACT, SAT, SSAT, ISEE, ERB, GRE, GMAT, and LSAT. During his spare time, Coach Perez enjoys golfing and exploring the outdoors with his bilingual puppy Bella.
